The 199-year-old Skidby Mill is pictured here without its sails, which have been removed for periodic maintenance. This was last done 10 years ago. When operational, the mill is the only working example in Yorkshire. The sails and the fan tail were removed in late 2019 and taken to a traditional millwright in Norfolk for stripping and examination for rot and other damage.
