St Bene't's Church pump
As part of the restoration of Cambridge's oldest church for its millennium, this pump inside the churchyard wall has been given a coat of fresh paint. Made by the firm of Lee Howl of Tipton, it is one of their Paragon pitcher spout lift pumps "specially adapted for raising dirty fluids, all parts being easily accessible for the removal of obstructions" to quote from their 1885 catalogue.
