NT9113 : Lower waterfall at Lindhope Linn

taken 6 days ago, 5 km from Barrowburn, Northumberland, Great Britain

Lower waterfall at Lindhope Linn
Lower waterfall at Lindhope Linn
Bears some similarity to, but shouldn't be confused with the better known waterfall of the Cheviot Hills, Linhope Spout NT9517 : Linhope Spout. Lindhope, in contrast, is even more remote, hidden in the depths of the Kidland Forest. It appears to be little visited which is probably best as the approach is difficult on deeply forested steep slopes and should only be attempted from the track on the north side of the valley.

The waterfall was first photographed for Geograph in 2017 NT9113 : Lindhope Linn which was only the second photo in the square, the first Geograph (of a then new forest track) was taken 10 years earlier NT9113 : New road at Lindhope Linn, Kidland Forest..
