A large Victorian villa half way up the hill, with much newer designs of housing before and behind.
The Park

Formed from Nottingham Castle's deer park in the 19th century, The Park is a 150 acre private gated residential estate with restricted vehicle access. It is noted for Victorian architecture, including a number of buildings by the celebrated local architect Watson Fothergill, although there are some modern houses. The estate was originally owned by the Duke of Newcastle but passed to Oxford University in 1938; in 1986 it was acquired by Nottingham Park Estate Ltd who administer it on behalf of the residents. The streets are still lit by gas.
