Cryptic art at Killerton House and Park
In 1993 Killerton Park was host to a number of "Cryptic Art" installations; this flower bed in the shape of a pair of scissors was created beside the ha-ha between garden and park to represent cutting the boundary between the two parts of the estate. Although the bed was filled in at the end of the season, there were traces in the grass for two or three years afterwards

They generally operate as private non-profit organizations, although some receive considerable support from their national government.
