Cross House
Cross House
In the western part of Newcastle city centre. This office block owes its distinctive shape to the acute angle of the junction of Fenkle Street, on the right, with Westgate Road. It dates from 1911, and was a replacement for a 17th century mansion. The statue in front is of Joseph Cowen, 19th century M P and newspaper proprietor.
