Caldon Canal at Hazelhurst Junction, Staffordshire
Caldon Canal at Hazelhurst Junction, Staffordshire
This is the "new" junction and "new" lock flight of three dating from c1840-42. The current Leek Branch is off to the right before the footbridge. Previously the junction was about five hundred metres closer to Denford along this route.
The bollards are for the use of boat crews waiting for the locks, not for casual mooring.
