The King's Head
The King's Head
The King's Head on Bird Street in Lichfield. Though it has a Georgian facade there has been a pub on this site since at least 1495. A plaque on the front of the building informs that in 1705 Col. Lillingston raised the Regiment of Foot here, it became the 38th Regiment of Foot SK1109 : Plaque on the King's Head, and later the Staffordshire Regiment.
