Granary
Granary
The granary at the National Trust owned Arlington Court. A plaque on the wall states "This early 19th Century granary, of a type common in Devon, formerly stood at Dunsland near Holsworthy. The corn was stored in wooden bins ranged round the walls. When Dunsland House was destroyed by fire in 1967, the granary was moved to Arlington by the National Trust." Grade II listed - LinkExternal link.
Arlington Court estate
The Arlington Court estate was acquired by the National Trust in November 1945, from Rosalie Chichester, the then resident of Arlington Court. The estate covers around 1,368 hectares (or 13.6 square kilometres). Arlington Court is the focus of the estate, but it includes working farms and woodlands, as well as a deer park.
