The main building at Abergavenny station. The town once boasted a grand total of three railway stations - this one, Abergavenny Junction Station and Abergavenny (Brecon Road), on the Brynmawr line. The latter two stations closed with the Brynmawr line in 1958. The building pictured here was built by the Newport, Abergavenny and Hereford Railway and was designed by their Chief Engineer, Charles Liddell; it is Grade II listed.
