NS7382 : Faughlin Burn runs onto the road

taken 4 years ago, near to Carron Bridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland

Faughlin Burn runs onto the road
Faughlin Burn runs onto the road
At a dip in the road this burn is channelled through the piping seen here and then allowed to run onto the road, so that car drivers have to ford it (see e.g. NS7382 : Ford on the Tak-ma-doon road). The steep Tak-Ma-Doon road is a locally famous challenge for cyclists but they, and pedestrians, can avoid the ford on a path seen at left that runs over the pipe.
