Bridge over disused railway nr Whitchurch
In 1872 the London & North Western Railway opened a branch from Whitchurch to Chester via Tattenhall Junction. At Grindley Brook it bridged the Llangollen branch of the Shropshire Union Canal with its flight of six locks and then passed under this bridge that still carries the A41. The line closed in 1963.
