Gates at a dropped bridge, Tees Railway Path
On the western edge of Cotherstone. The Tees Valley Railway opened in 1868. It was built to bring lead down from upper Teesdale, but mainly carried stone. The railway closed to passengers in 1964 and to freight in 1965 and is now the Tees Railway Path.
