Footbridge over the River South Tyne just downstream from the Viaduct. The footbridge forms an important link on various long-distance footpaths; although pedestrians can still cross the river on the viaduct, the southern end is blocked and users have to descend a steep flight of steps before resuming their journey up the valley.
