Lambley footbridge
Footbridge over the River South Tyne just downstream from the Viaduct. The shadow of one of the Viaduct arches can be clearly seen, along with the shadow of the footbridge itself.
The footbridge forms an important link on various long-distance footpaths; although pedestrians can still cross the river on the viaduct, the southern end is blocked and users have to descend a steep flight of steps before resuming their journey up the valley.
