Stamford Brewery Museum
Stamford Brewery Museum
At the time this was a publicly accessible museum owned by Samuel Smiths. It later reverted to an active brewery specialising in fruit beers and there is, as far as I know, no public access. The boiler was out of use but had supplied steam for brewing and to power a small steam engine driving the brewery's plant. It is a Cornish boiler with an underfeed mechanical stoking system. It was by Gimson & Co of Leicester and 5' 6" diameter by 18' long.

Canon F1N camera 50:50 time and flash with Mecablitz CT60. Ilford 100ASA monochrome film. Canon FS4000US scanner.
