This is 1 of 2 images, with title The Fauld Crater in this square
The Fauld Crater
The Fauld Crater
The remnants of what was the largest man-made explosion ever to have occurred on UK soil. The sheer scale of the crater is difficult to capture in a single shot and vegetation has impinged greatly since the area was decommissioned in 1967. It remains the property of the MOD.
