The Long Belt of trees at Tythegston extends for approximately six hundred metres between Home Wood, to the north west of the hamlet, and the A4106. Most of its trees are broadleaf. It is classed as ancient woodland. More specifically, it and an adjacent portion of Home Wood comprise a Restored Ancient Woodland Site (LinkExternal link ).

The image, taken on a public footpath which passes through the Belt, shows an approximately three hundred metre long stretch of the trees at its north side.
