Stile near the Beehive Inn, Whitley Bay
This stile lies at the western end of a public footpath leading from the course of the old Avenue Branch of the Blyth & Tyne Railway, now designated as a 'traffic-free cycle route', to Hartley Lane (B1325) and the Beehive Inn Link. The footpath was in existence when the first Ordnance Survey Six-Inch map of the area was published in 1865.
