Muddy strata
Since our last visit to this location, significant changes to the tidal regime have occurred. Water from the flat-lying plain by Deganwy Quay use to drain northwards by the little shore, but no longer does so to the same extent. Instead, it takes a short-cut towards the Conwy Marina. Large volumes of sand have been stripped away and laid bare laminated muds of much older sediment. Madog is enjoying a swim, and cares not at all about the speed of the water pushing him down the channel. As low water approaches the amount of water draining away diminishes rapidly.
