Public Footpath Sign and old Stone Gatepost near South Wellfield

The sign points the way to Earsdon Road (once known as Earsdon Lane) having arrived at this point from South Wellfield. The gatepost stands on the site of the former Earsdon Grange Cottages which had been demolished by the time that the 1938 revision of the Ordnance Survey Six-Inch map of the area was published in 1948.
