Another view of the Vesper Gate SE2536 : The Vesper Gate, Kirkstall Abbey Park, appropriately with evening shadows. Said to be the remains of a gateway into the medieval abbey precincts, although according to Historic England the upper part of what remains probably dates from a 17th century rebuilding. The structure is listed grade II (list entry 125793) and forms part of the Scheduled Ancient Monument that covers the whole abbey site.
