Kirkstall Valley Nature Reserve: meadow area
This is not a riverside meadow. nor a natural one, but a former landfill site capped, topsoiled and seeded.
Kirkstall Valley Nature Reserve :: SE2635

A ten hectare reserve formed in the 1990s on reclaimed industrial land between the Leeds-Skipton railway line and the river Aire. The reserve, with its mixture of planted and naturally seeded trees, ponds and wildflower meadows, is managed by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and open to the public on a permissive basis.
