NT2636 : Summit rocks and heather slopes of Newby Kips

taken 5 years ago, 3 km from Kings Muir, Scottish Borders, Scotland

Summit rocks and heather slopes of Newby Kips
Summit rocks and heather slopes of Newby Kips
The hillwalker is at the unusual rock formation at the summit of Newby Kips - quite uncharacteristic of other hill tops in the district. The heather slopes below the rocks fall away to the valley of the Waddenshope Burn.
Hundleshope Heights is the distant heathery dome, Preston Hill lies between that top and Newby Kips.
