Smooth Glass Snail in my compost heap
Browsing on a dead Holly leaf this tiny, and provisionally identified, Smooth Glass Snail [Aegopinella nitidula] was only 8mm diameter. They are widespread in most of the UK, apart from high mountain tops, and occur under leaves and stones in woods and hedges - and compost heaps.
