NS9832 : Gravelly bed of the River Clyde

taken 29 days ago, near to Lamington, South Lanarkshire, Great Britain

Gravelly bed of the River Clyde
Gravelly bed of the River Clyde
Just upstream of here there is large extended pool where gravel was extracted. I'm not sure to what extent (if any) the gravelly surface here has been altered in order to serve gravel extraction, but long stretches of stony ground are exposed following an unusually dry April.
