Gorse bush
Gorse bush
Often known as 'whin' in Scotland the common gorse bush (Ulex europaeus) is armed with formidable spines! It can be found pretty well everywhere in the UK and is one of the few plants which blooms all year round. This example was adjacent to the footpath between Leven and Kennoway.
