SH5860 : Thomas Bach at Padarn station

taken 23 years ago, near to Llanberis, Gwynedd, Wales

Thomas Bach at Padarn station
Thomas Bach at Padarn station
Thomas Bach runs round its train at what is now called Gilfach Ddu station.
At the time, this was the southern terminus of the Llanberis Lake Railway. The slate water tower has since been demolished, replaced by a steel tower on the opposite side of the tracks. The coal stage has been moved along to the right. (Compare with SH5860 : Dolbadarn approaching Gilfach Ddu.)
Thomas Bach was built by Hunslet for Dinorwic Quarry in 1904.
