SE1477 : The end of the Enclosures

The end of the Enclosures
Beyond this wall is open moorland that stretches into Nidderdale.
The most interesting feature of this wall is that it is composed almost entirely of sandstone flags, quarried locally in Grimes Gill. It must have taken a long time to build because they are so thin, but easy to get level.
