TR2955 : Former Woodnesborough Colliery buildings

taken 6 years ago, near to Woodnesborough, Kent, Great Britain

Former Woodnesborough Colliery buildings
Former Woodnesborough Colliery buildings
The colliery never went into production and the site was sold to become a brickworks after being mothballed though the Great War. Most of the newer brickworks buildings are off to the right, the brickworks was also closed at the time of this view. The two buildings to the left are of the original colliery, and survive. The tall building is also original but is now demolished along with all the brickworks buildings. The site has been redeveloped with unaffordable housing.
