Worcestershire Royal Hospital - generator house
Worcestershire Royal Hospital - generator house
An end on view of the generator house with two large diesel exhaust pipes. The fenced enclosure to its left was new and immediately caught my eye. This enclosure houses a neutral earth resistor that limits fault currents in the event of a fault to earth in the alternators. I had never heard of or seen one of these before so it was an opportunity to read up about an aspect of power electrics that was new to me.
