The sheer crags of Clogwyn Grugog ( meaning 'heathery crag'), Clogwyn Castell (meaning 'castle's crag') and Clogwyn Llys (meaning 'court crag') tower above the Nant Ffrancon Pass. Beyond are the summits of Carnedd Fach, Carnedd Dafydd and Carnedd Llywelyn.
