NF7511 : Mushroom Isle

Mushroom Isle
Mushroom Isle
The tiny isle of Lingeigh lies in the middle of the Sound of Barra, the five mile stretch of water separating Barra from South Uist. The name Lingeigh means "heather isle" but unusually in the vicinity it seems to be completely devoid of heather. There is however a luxuriant growth of field mushrooms.
