These graves are of Percy Beale Neame and members of his family. He and his wife Florence had 10 children. Buried here is Percy Beale who died in 1913 aged 77. The little central grave holds their 4th son, Bernard, who died aged 16 months and, on the left, is their daughter-in-law's, Mary Anne, widow of their eldest son, Harry, died 1900. Percy Beale Neame became sole proprietor of the Faversham Steam Brewery (Shepherd Neame) in 1877. His eldest son, Harry, joined him in 1881 and in 1886 Arthur and Alick joined. Shepherd Neame is Britain's oldest brewer and when Percy Beale Neame died in 1913 he was one of the richest men in Faversham, worth £240,000.
