Castles of Munster: Bolane, Limerick

Set deep in a wood is the four storey high SW corner of a tower house held by William FitzGerald from 1625 to 1655. The lowest level is vaulted, which has a gunloop opening off an embrasure, and is the southerly of two loops set in the west wall.
