Gloucester to Cardiff train at Awre
The train is passing the site of Awre Junction, where the Forest of Dean Central line branched off the South Wales Railway until closure in 1949. The FoDCR's route was along the track in the left foreground. The signal box which once controlled the junction has been closed since the 1970s and can be seen on the right.
