Level crossing at Awre
Level crossing at Awre
The former South Wales Railway crosses the road from Blakeney to Awre. The derelict Awre Junction signal box, dating from 1909, is on the left. The route of the Forest of Dean Central Railway which met the South Wales Railway here from 1868 to 1949, crossed the road in the immediate foreground.
