Departing Morfa Mawddach
Although Morfa Mawddach had ceased to be a junction station more than ten years before this photograph was taken, when the cross-country line to Ruabon was closed, the old signal gantries remained as did the station buildings (out of shot). In fact at that time the whole place had a thoroughly derelict appearance. Here a train to Pwllheli has just departed and will shortly cross the Barmouth Bridge.
