Located where the road from Drumburgh, unfenced to this point, leaves Burgh Marsh. The Hadrian's Wall Path National Trail passes through the pedestrian gate and there is an Ordnance Survey pivot benchmark on the end coping stone of the wall (photograph NY3059 : Benchmark at Marsh Gate, Dykesfield).
