Bottisham: some history at the end of High Street
Bottisham: some history at the end of High Street
The Grade II listed house in the centre, Bottisham Place, is much older than its late-Georgian front suggests. The listing suggests 15th-century origins and later extensions. The 17th-century house on the left is also Grade II listed and the building on the right is the former White Swan public house. One of Cambridgeshire's distinctive utilitarian concrete sewer stink pipes shows above the bushes next to the gateway to the left of centre.
