NZ4920 : Middlesbrough 4th railway station (site), Yorkshire

taken 7 years ago, near to Middlesbrough, England

Middlesbrough 4th railway station (site), Yorkshire
Middlesbrough 4th railway station (site), Yorkshire
Opened in 1874 by the North Eastern Railway as a temporary replacement for the main station, whilst it was being replaced. The new station opened, and this one on Wood Street closed, in 1877.
View north west towards the current (5th!) station. The temporary structure would have probably been on both sides of the fence. No trace apparently remains.
