Approaching Thrussington
Approaching Thrussington
Thrussington, with a population of about 600, is one of a string of villages distributed along the Wreake Valley between Melton Mowbray and Syston. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book by the name 'Turstanetone'. This sign greets motorists approaching via Rearsby Road and the warning signs refer to the river bridge. In the background is Holy Trinity church.
