Slack Wife Gill
Slack Wife Gill
Almost 12 months on from the big flood that devastated large parts of Arkengarthdale, Reeth and Grinton and caused so much damage to the historical environment, it has still left a harsh mark on the environment.
Slack Wife Gill and Blea Gill carried thousands of tons of rock down the hillsides, into Slei Gill. In the few areas where the stream was able to slow down, there are vast dumps of rock & sandy material.
