Ribblehead station building
Ribblehead station building
The building and 'up' platform date from the 1870s when the Settle and Carlisle line was opened. The 'down' platform, from which this photograph was taken, was constructed in 1993, the original having been removed during the 'dark days' in the early 1970s when the S&C was being run down for closure. Thankfully, that never happened!
