A8 at Drumbrae Roundabout
The A8 is a major road which runs for 43 miles connecting the West End of Edinburgh, in the New Town, with Greenock via Glasgow. The A8 was the main road of Scotland's Central Belt but its importance has diminished somewhat following the construction of the M8 motorway. Most of the Eastern section was taken over by the M8 while much of the Port Glasgow-Greenock section has been upgraded.
