Nearest the camera is coach 5000 (local number 16). This is an open 3rd summer car. Wikipedia states that (in 2020) it is still in an unrestored state but I have been unable to verify that. Furthest is the 'Vista Car' which was disused for years after a derailment in the mid-1980s. It has now been magnificently restored as a summer car with wheelchair access - see SN6878 : Summer car no. 4999.

Notice also the ash pit on the left, a survivor from when the shed was used for standard gauge locomotives. It has now been in-filled as a result of the total revamp of the VofR Aberystwyth terminus.
