Red K6 telephone box on Castle Street, Strangford. The telephone inside is still operational but the box has also been adopted as a free lending library and is stocked with books. This is the interior view, see also J5849 : Telephone call box, Strangford.

Telephone boxes, Northern Ireland

A series of photographs showing some of the public telephone boxes in Northern Ireland. With the widespread ownership of mobiles the use of the public phone had declined. I have a notion that they will become like railways – still some left but most closed.
