Field, fence and trees near Low Herdley
A public footpath from Coanwood runs from behind the fence corner and can be seen as a faint track in the grass. It forms part of a popular circular walk incorporating the nearby Lambley Viaduct.
Herdley Sike flows behind the post and wire fence to join the river South Tyne at the bottom of the field.
Lambley Viaduct formerly had a long footbridge bracketed off the piers a good way below the railway. When was this dismantled? A few views showing this are at RCTS (former)Mystery Photographs
