NN6427 : The upper reaches of Glen Tarken

taken 4 years ago, 5 km NE of Dalveich, Stirling, Scotland

The upper reaches of Glen Tarken
The upper reaches of Glen Tarken
The descent of the northern spur of Creag Each provides a fabulous open view across moorland hills at the head of Glen Tarken towards the distant higher peaks of the Tarmachan ridge (on the left) and the Ben Lawers group of hills (on the right).

A track associated with hydro-electric infrastructure can be seen winding beneath the prominent hillock named Creag Dhubh ('black crag').
