Concrete tanks below bouseteams
Bouseteams are bays dating from the lead mining industry where mined ore was stored before smelting; every partnership of miners would have its own bay; those in view here are just a few of those remaining. There's clearly been some reconstruction of the stepped wall ends.
The tanks must surely postdate the working life of the bouseteams as they would obstruct access to them.
